My poor husband hasn’t been feeling well the past couple of days. One of the worst things about being sick in a different country is not being able to eat your favorite comfort foods. So, when Donghee woke up this morning wishing he could eat juk (Korean porridge), I decided to give it a shot. I found this recipe that seemed easy enough. I added a little garlic, green onion, and shredded chicken. I’m not much of a cook, but I think it turned out pretty well. As far as I remember, it tasted similar to juk I ate in Korea. Donghee said it was good too:). I’ll have to look for some more Korean recipes to try out on him!
My name is Jennifer. I love to travel. I taught English in Korea for two years, which is where I met my husband, Donghee. We also lived in New Zealand for over a year. Now we are back in the US ready to start adventures here!
